Overview

MarkSchrift is a document-based markdown editor that runs entirely on your device. Your privacy is fundamental to how the app is designed.

Data Collection

MarkSchrift does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No crash reporting to external services
• No advertising or ad-related identifiers
• No third-party SDKs that collect data
• No account creation or login required

Your Documents

All documents you create and edit are stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud Drive (if you choose to save them there). MarkSchrift does not read, access, or transmit your documents to any server.

iCloud Sync

If you store documents in iCloud Drive, syncing is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure. MarkSchrift does not operate its own sync service and has no access to your iCloud account.

Search Index

MarkSchrift maintains a local full-text search index on your device to enable fast document search. This index is stored only on your device and is never transmitted externally.

Third-Party Services

MarkSchrift does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms.

Children's Privacy

MarkSchrift does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
